Spring 2002
Juliana Collezione
Words from Jana
The
Spring 2002 Juliana Collezione Season
is a season of new color combinations, new textures and many new
silhouettes. This season we have expanded each color story to encompass a
broad range of lifestyle needs, from casual separates, to classic career, to
sophisticated occasion dressing. This collection addresses all of these
categories within each color story. . . . .
Within the six color groups of this spring collection we
cover a rainbow of colors. The core neutrals on which to build are black,
putty, misty blue, sand, mocha, taupe, vanilla and navy. These neutrals are
anchors for vibrant accent colors of red, lavender, iris, aqua, honey, tan,
jade, tangerine, lime, coral, cobalt and lemon.. . . .
For this spring collection we worked with the best mills in
Europe and Asia in creating the new textures. The fabrications are very rich
and diverse. Within each color story there is a comfortable stretch and a
classic woven fabrication as a core to build novelties.
The silhouettes of the Spring 2002 season are streamlined,
feminine and extremely wearable. The proportions and silhouettes are always
dictated by the fabrication. The color, texture and drape of each fabric are
the catalyst for each silhouette. Many new jackets in various lengths top off
new seamed skirts and pants. There is also a greater emphasis on dresses in
this collection. The knitwear offering is extremely varied, covering basics,
textures and novelty treatments in each group. In order to make this seasons
fashions even more special, there are many hand-crafted details, such as pick
stitching, beading and embroidery.
Although this season was created during a difficult time in
our history . . . This collection was created with a renewed love,
determination and a pursuit for excellence.
